About

Being born into a family of entertainers is not easy... but I’d be lying is I said it isn’t fun.

Having first appeared on the front page of the Australian Herald Son just 8 days after being born, Adrian’s spark for entertainment had been born. His father was once known as Australia’s number one Elvis impersonator and third in the world Elvis Presley sound alike. While most children were at home by night being cradled to sleep by their parents, Adrian was backstage casinos being rocked to sleep by magicians, burlesque showgirls and producers, listening to the muffled voice of his father singing to hundreds above. In its own way, he believes it was his lullaby.

By the age of 3 Adrian was out late so much that he used to find a near by table to crawl under and fall asleep. One morning after one of his fathers weekly gigs, Adrian was helping him roll leads when he began to sing the chorus to an old Bobby Vinton song “Roses are red my love”. That following night my father had a show at the local pub when he bought Adrian on stage to sing that very song beside him. From that night, Adrian’s training had began. Adrian’s mother began to teach him the words to “Ben” by Michael Jackson, and even showed him some choreography to accompany my singing. Adrian performed that song in over 70 venues around Victoria, and Brisbane Australia. Over the years I was taught more songs and by the age of 6 I was featuring as a musical actor in a number of my mother and fathers cabaret shows.

By the age of 15, Adrian had embarked on his own adventure, discovering the world of musical theatre and beginning his own solo act as a Michael Jackson Tribute artist, performing his act in places all over Australia. Adrian also added a Freddie Mercury impersonation to his solo act.

Adrian chose to take his mothers maiden name Gemayel and reshaped it to appear more western in addition to some word play having the actual word “male” in his name as growing up Adrian was heavily bullied and often had his gender questioned by his peers. Adrian took his mothers name for he believed she was the hidden talent that shaped the family and never received the recognition she deserved.

It was by the age of 17 that Adrian decided he wanted to not live behind the shadow of anyone anymore and aspired to have a name of his own. “I love the theatre, to become someone else, there is not a more freeing escape... but eventually you have to return home, I never want to go home” – Adrian Jemale.

By the age of 21, Adrian made his first ever appearance into the world of television on an international tv show The Voice Australia. This opportunity to break into the world of music was sadly bought to an end when Adrian went up

against the 6 part vocal girl group ‘G Nation’. The biggest thing Adrian claims he took away from the whole experience was the last wise words his on screen coach Rita Ora said to him. “You are a really nice person inside, it’s special, please promise me you’ll never stop because nice things always happen to good people” - Rita Ora.

Away from music, Adrian only had one other passion, North America. Adrian always believed there was more waiting for him on the other side of the world.

In 2022 Adrian made the biggest decision of his life, to pack up everything, leaving his beloved family at home including his best friend and little brother Benjamin, and move all the way across the world to Canada where he would attempt to break into the industry and bring home to his family a recording contract.

2022 saw it difficult for the Jemale house when Adrian received news of his mothers second breast cancer battle, this time leaving her with no choice but to begin chemo therapy. Being so far away from everyone and having his best friend in a bad place, Adrian really needed a miracle in his life. Rejection after rejection finally bought him to the doors of Orenda Music where he met Luka Zaharijevic who would give him his first break.

Adrian has been on the grind establishing himself as an upcoming singer songwriter, with his first original 'Closer To You' releasing on the 28th of May 2021! ‘One Last Kiss’ releasing April 9th 2022, ‘Astronaut’ releasing December

9th 2022 and his most recent single 'Waste' is available now on all music streaming platforms.

A long and windy road for sure but Adrian’s journey is only beginning.
